    The part-time Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our guests, employees and hotel, while maintaining a cordial and professional demeanor according to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards.

    • Handle deliveries to and from the hotel
    • Log and work with Concierge to deliver packages and mail in a timely manner
    • Work with HR to conduct investigations while maintaining confidentiality
    • Document and organize all Lost & Found items and monitor retention time
    • Maintain confidentiality of all reports and release information only to authorized individuals
    • Conduct patrol of hotel and area at designated times throughout shift
    • Monitor vehicle parking and assist valet as needed
    • Identify and report all unsafe issues, incidents and losses to GM
    • Complete and log daily incidents and events
    • Maintain visibility throughout hotel and grounds
    • Identify and promptly address disturbances or unusual activities and inform the GM and HRD
    • Monitor surveillance cameras and investigate unusual or suspicious activities
    • Escort guests to designated areas and assist with key entry
    • Maintain accurate key control logs and distribute keys to authorized employees
    • Collaborate with Engineering on evacuation procedures during fire drills or natural disasters
    • Conduct fire drills as required
    • Maintain awareness of operations and activities in hotel and surrounding areas
    • Participate in monthly Safety meetings and other scheduled meetings
    • Conduct Safety briefings as requested at events and meetings
    • Assist HR with compliance of all OSHA, F/S, and TABC regulations
    • Practice and enforce the Daily Core Values and 3 Steps of service
    • Conduct locker and bag checks as required
    • Maintain a calm and professional demeano to reflect the culture of Hotel Granduca and LHW standards
    • Issue and retrieve keys, parking passes, lockers, uniforms and maintain organized and neat logs
    • Maintain communication with team and supervisor and maintain accurate pass-down logs and checklists
    • Immediately inform GM of any incidents or unusual activities. Call 911 if necessary.
    • Document and report all W/C related cases to HR in a timely manner
    • Administer basic 1st Aid/CPR to injured guests or employees and assist with arranging medical attention if necessary
    • Lock and unlock room, doors and gates at designated times
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Minimum High School Diploma required
    • At least 1 year related experience in a full service hotel or hospitality environment
    • Must possess excellent command and comprehension of English - verbal and written
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
    • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office  - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests
    • Maintain a positive, cordial and professional demeanor at all times
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Maintain knowledge of the hotel layout, rooms, service areas, hours of operations, location of all emergency equipment and local area
    • Maintain knowledge of daily events, occupancy, VIP's and special needs
    • Excellent telephone, email and organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
    • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
    • Must be able to remain calm and think clearly in all situations
    • Must be 1st Aid/CPR certified
    • Able to lift, push, pull, carry at least 50 lbs
    • Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, sit, bend, crouch, run, reach up to 12 inches
    • Must be able to work all assigned shifts, including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
