    The Social Catering Manager will assist in generating revenue and achieving the goals of the Sales & Catering team, while exceeding the expectations of the guests, according to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new markets and opportunities to secure catering business for the hotel
    • Actively solicit new business through telemarketing, cold-calling, referrals, and blitzes
    • Meet and greet clients and conduct tours of hotel and banquet facilities
    • Provide leads to the Sales Manager
    • Coordinate with the Accounting department to ensure necessary deposits and payments are received
    • Assist clients in menu planning and coordination, meeting room setup, decor, and other services as requested by the client
    • Negotiate food and beverage pricing and rentals to achieve maximum results
    • Confirm terms and agreements with clients and create BEOs in a timely manner

    • Maintain open communication with DOSM, General Manager, clients and meeting planners to update on progress and resolve issues
    • Maintain visibility and communication during event to ensure a client satisfaction
    • Attend weekly BEO and other meetings to update management on upcoming events

    • Collaborate with hotel banquet staff and vendors to ensure excellent and timely execution of event 

    • Adhere to F/S laws, OSHA and hotel policies and procedures
    • Practice the hotel's Daily Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    • Maintain knowledge of hotel and area, services and amenities
    • Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Associate's degree 
    • Minimum 2 years' related experience as a Catering Manager in a full-service or luxury hotel
    • Proficiency in Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Excellent command of English language, verbal and written
    • Ability to adjust to last minute changes and improvise to ensure a successful event
    • Professional and cordial demeanor when dealing with internal and external guests
    • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups for diverse backgrounds
    • Bilingual- English and Spanish- preferred
    • Excellent time management skills 
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
    • Must be available during social events, including weekends and holidays
