    The Banquet Cook will assist in creating an extraordinary dining experience for all events and bnquet functions, under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef. The Cook will prepare food items for guests using quality ingredients in a timely and consistent manner.

    • Assist with preparation and production of all food items as required for functions and events
    • Monitor products daily to prevent food spoilage
    • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and quantities to be prepared for specific events
    • Read and understand BEO to ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and proper hygiene, while adhering to all OSHA and sanitation laws
    • Assist in other food production areas as required
    • Practice the Hotel Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    • Actively participate in all meetings and training activities
    • Communicate with Banquet and Catering department and Executive Chef to ensure flawless execution of event
    • Maintain a professional and neat appearance according to Hotel Granduca and LHW standards
    • Maintain a pleasant and cordial demeanor towards guests and team members
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
    • At least 2 years' related experience in a full service or luxury hotel
    • Valid Food Handlers'/ServeSafe Certificate required
    • Excellent command of English, verbal and written 
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish - preferred
    • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor during busy times
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task
    • Must be able to work any shift as required, including evenings, weekends and holidays
