    The restaurant server is responsible for creating a memorable and positive dining experience for our guests by demonstrating excellent customer skills and genuine care.

    • Provide genuine, engaging and personalized service in accordance with Hotel Granduca and LHW standards
    • Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and special offers
    • Provide beverage service within TABC guidelines and in accordance with Hotel Granduca’s and LHW standards
    • Greet and seat guests, take orders and serve food items according to hotel and LHW guidelines
    • Maintain visibility on floor and be available and ready to cater to guest's needs and requests
    • Listen and pay attention to special requests and needs and communicate effectively to culinary team
    • Practice Hotel Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    • Maintain communication with Manager to ensure guests' concerns are resolved promptly and efficiently
    • Operate Point of Sale system with accuracy and efficiency
    • Adhere to standards of operations, hotel policies and procedures and required regulations   
    • Set up, clear and reset dining room tables and maintain a clean and attractive dining area
    • Monitor and restock all condiments, napkins, silverware and other items necessary for set up
    • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
    • Provide services to guests that exceed LHW standards
    • Participate and assist in controlling the loss of product 
    • Maintain knowledge of Hotel Granduca’s facilities, hours of operation and amenities to assist guests with directions and questions
    • Assist the team to ensure excellent guest service
    • Learn and maintain full knowledge of all menu items and special offers
    • Use cues to describe, suggest and upsell food and beverage items to ensure guest satisfaction
    • Ensure confidentiality with all guest information
    • Maintain a professional appearance and cordial demeanor according to Hotel Granduca and LHW standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum 1 year related experience in a fine dining restaurant of a full service or luxury hotel
    • Current TABC Seller Certification required
    • Current Texas Food Handler’s Certificate required
    • Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
    • Excellent command of English, verbal and written
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
    • Excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups or individuals
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills 
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel - and Micros system
    • Must demonstrate a friendly but cordial demeanor and professional appearance
    • Must be able to work scheduled shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays
