    The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards according to LHW and Hotel Granduca. The Housekeeping Supervisor provides training, support and assistance to the Housekeeping team and conducts inspections to ensure services exceed our guests' expectations.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise all housekeeping operations and ensure adherence to policies and proper housekeeping procedures
    • Adhere to the established standard of conduct, fire regulationsand OSHA regulations
    • Assign rooms blocks to Housekeepers and update team on guests requests and VIP's list
    • Ensure linens and sundry items are adequately stocked and maintained in a neat and organized manner
    • Attend daily pre-shift meetings and other meetings/training as required 
    • Provide support and assist the housekeepers and houseperson if necessary to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready within required timeline
    • Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) to ensure rooms are cleaned according to Hotel and LHW standards
    • Practice the Hotel Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    • Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality of information
    • Ensure housekeeping team maintains proper conduct on the floors and immediately address disruptive behaviour
    • Identify maintenance issues and promptly submit work orders to Engineering department
    • Handle all Sharps objects to ensure proper disposal
    • Conduct random inspections and report issues to Manager
    • Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards
    • Maintain on-going training with new and current team to ensure exceptional service, and the ability to anticipate our guests’ every need with genuine care and thoughtfulness

    • Ensure team remembers return guests, special needs and requests, maintains eye contact and smiles, addresses guests by name
    • Assist in ensuring a safe work environment at all times and promptly report injuries or incidents to Manager and Loss Prevention department
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent 
    • At least 2 years' experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a luxury or full-service hotel
    • Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Must be detailed oriented and demonstrate pride in work
    • Excellent command of English, verbal and written
    • Bilingual  - English and Spanish - preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and requests and communicate with guests and team members
    • Ability to delegate and provide clear and concise instructions
    • Ability to pull, push or carry at least 50 lbs
    •  Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, kneel, crouch, and use both hands, see, hear, smell, touch 
    • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service
    • Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays 
    • Knowledge of proper chemical handling required
    • BloodBorne Pathogen and OSHA training required
