The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards as set by the Hotel Granduca. The Housekeeping Supervisor also manages the Room Attendants and Housemen on the floor and conducts inspection on a daily basis.


  • Supervise all housekeeping operations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures, i.e. special projects, general cleaning.
  • Adheres to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.
  • Pick-up work assignments from the Housekeeping Department, and review for any questions. Report to assign area with required keys, equipment, supplies, etc.   
  • Check with Director/Assistant Director for the list of VIP and the Special Services room and inform Room Attendant of the same. Instruct the Room Attendants to greet as many guests as possible using their names.   
  • Supervise the Room Attendants that have been assigned to your work area.
  • Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) checking standard of cleanliness, Report any problems to the Room Attendant.
  • Inspect all VIP and Special rooms very carefully, ensuring that all special request are taken care of.
  • Check for the maintenance work orders and complete the required report. Turn them to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Conduct spot checks (while Room Attendant are working) and ensure proper procedures and steps are being taken. Follow up on all deficiencies.
  • Inform the Director/Assistant Director of any unusual events and communicate any special instructions to the PM Supervisor.
  • Must maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards.
  • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service.

  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain on-going training with departmental staff to ensure warm and engaging service, and the ability to anticipate our guests’ every need with care and thoughtfulness.

  • Assist in ensuring a safe work environment at all times, including reporting improper safety behaviors and work related injuries to Director of Housekeeping and/or Human Resources immediately.


  • Must have prior Supervising and Housekeeping experience
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment preferred

  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, fellow associates, and vendors.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
