The Banquet server will setup/serve food and beverages to guests according to established Hotel Granduca standards and in an engaging and hospitable manner.


  • Responsible for all knowledge presented on Banquet Event Order and function sheets.
  • Responsible for proper and efficient banquet room and banquet area set up, to include preparation of tables, action stations, buffets, and entertainment areas.
  • Responsible for complete and efficient breakdown and clean-up of banquet room and banquet area set up space.
  • Knowledge of all menu, both food and beverage (to include common food and beverage allergies), and function space and food and beverage stations.
  • Responsible for providing bar, wine and cocktail service within TABC guidelines and in according with Granduca’s Alcoholic Beverage Service Policy.
  • Responsible for knowledge of all types of service offered.
  • Responsible for communicating any needs of other departments to banquet manager/captain or appropriate personnel, such as culinary team, sales managers, or housekeeping.
  • Maintain overall presentation of all areas including cleanliness, physical condition, and appropriate stocking of all condiments, buffets, utensils, and service items.
  • Secure all equipment and maintain security of all items needed for function usage.
  • Operate Point of Sale system with accuracy and efficiency when needed.
  • Alert a manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality.
  • Participate and assist in controlling the loss and waste of food and beverage product and following F&B guidelines with regard to staff food and beverage consumption.
  • Responsible for knowledge of Hotel Granduca’s facilities and amenities to assist guests with directions and questions.
  • Must maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards.

  • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service.

  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.



  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment preferred, but will to train 

  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, fellow associates, and vendors.
  • Current TABC Seller Certification.

  • Current Texas Food Handler’s Certificate

  • Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol.
